Part of the A27 will be closed on Thursday as strengthening work is carried out on a bridge.
The road will be closed at Arundel Station Bridge between 10pm and 6am while one of the parapets is replaced.
A diversion will be signed in both directions and pedestrian access will be available.
The £405,000 improvement scheme, which began in December, is due to be completed by the end of March.
Highways Agency project manager Steve Cobb said: "This work is essential to maintain the bridge in a serviceable condition. All closures are scheduled for overnight to minimise disruption."
