It is sickening to think anyone would want to disturb our "skipper" and Bluebird after so many years at rest in the depths of Lake Coniston (Argus, February 19).

I was fortunate and privileged enough to be one of the workforce employed on the rebuild of the craft and enjoyed many a happy hour in the company of the skipper and Leo Villa, his number one.

I am now 78 and perhaps the oldest survivor of the crew. I'm sure I speak for all of them when I say: For goodness sake, leave well alone.
