On a recent Saturday, I went with my husband to Brighton looking in the second-hand shops for Elvis Presley records.
My husband went on to work and I was "all shook up".
I was going up Trafalgar Street when 30-40 men, all yobs in rainwear, started shouting and running up to the station.
I could see the police standing there and I knew there was going to be trouble. I turned round and ran the other way to the Steine to get a bus going the other way and then walked the rest.
I am a young OAP. It was all quiet and then all hell let loose. I just wanted to get home safely.
Thank goodness I wasn't in the tunnel.
