Brighton and Hove City Council's leader clearly needs an education in democracy.
Apparently we still need to resolve the issue of whether or not Brighton should vote on an elected mayor, even though councillors have already voted and given their views.
Why should we bother to elect representatives at all if their clear views are ignored? Our leader clearly thinks she runs a dictatorship which can overrule our elected members. Reinforcing this view in the form of a mayor would be a waste of time and money.
