Two women accused of trying to murder 13-year-old schoolboy Danny Herbert have appeared before a judge at Lewes Crown Court.
The pair, 21-year-old Lorraine Large, of Littlehampton, and a 17-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons, both denied attempted murder.
The women, who are both in custody, appeared together in court where it was decided that their trial should be staged sometime after September.
The case is due to return to court on June 8 for lawyers to hold a pre-trial review.
Danny was attacked and left for dead on grass near South Terrace in Littlehampton in the early hours of December 15 last year.
He had been repeatedly stabbed in the legs, back, chest, throat and head.
