Further to the photograph (Argus, February 1) and report (February 13), what a pleasure it is to walk around Preston Park and see so many travellers have gone.
The councillors and the police have been ages getting their act together. Why does it take so long? How many prosecutions were made of owners of vehicles without tax discs?
Was any action taken to stop heavy vehicles and caravans using the grass verge to go straight on to the main road?
Above all, what action is being taken to stop them coming back for the umpteenth time?
Surely a city deserves a real park. So many people use the area properly and legitimately but the paths and general appearance have been neglected for far too long.
I suppose there are no plans to show the Queen around the park on her next visit?
