Crawley boss Billy Smith admits the season is over. Reds are well off the pace at the top of the premier division
With only the Sussex Senior Cup to play for Smith conceded: "There's nothing left except pride.
"The Sussex Senior Cup is a competition we want to win for the fans, but the league is dead and buried."
Crawley beat Langney Sports 2-1 on Tuesday evening to book their place in the semi-finals where they will meet Lewes.
No new signings are planned until the summer when Smith hopes to build a team good enough to have shot at promotion next season. He sees no point strengthening at this stage of the season.
He said: "If there's a player who I fancy bringing in for next season then obviously I'll try and get him. But I have no plans to bring anyone in and am prepared to let the likes of Stewart Holmes prove themselves."
Holmes has impressed Smith at centre half since his move from County League Saltdean.
