Phil Stant has been gagged by his former club Lincoln.
The Albion veteran is claiming compensation for the 18 months left on his contract when Lincoln axed him as their manager. In return Stant had to sign a confidentiality clause.
The 38-year-old former Falklands War hero was sacked by Lincoln at the start of last month.
Albion boss Micky Adams snapped him up on a non-contract basis and he has made a handful of appearances as a late substitute.
Stant celebrated his home debut for the Seagulls by coming on to score the 199th goal of his career against Hull.
It all adds spice to Lincoln's sold out visit to Withdean on Tuesday, when Stant could be forgiven for sitting on the wrong bench.
He came on to grab a last-gasp equaliser for Lincoln in the corresponding fixture last season.
The Imps were next-to-bottom when he was sacked. They rallied at first under his replacement Alan Buckley but are still in relegation trouble.
The intrigue is increased by the re-appearance in the Lincoln starting line-up at Scunthorpe on Tuesday of former Seagull David Cameron.
His first full game since September 9 was cut short by a bruised thigh. Cameron scored in Albion's 2-0 defeat at Sincil Bank in August.
Lee Steele will be available again for the rematch. His three-game ban for a red card in the reserves ended with today's visit to Halifax.
