Chris Cheeseman of Crawley won a silver medal and Sophie Hales from Steyning, a bronze in the Race Walking Association 50km and 5km Road Walking Championships.
The championships were held at Victoria Park, London.
For Cheeseman his walk was another step on the road back to his 1999 form as he bids for the British World Cup team this season.
Cheeseman led but suffered at the 35km mark and Coventry international Mike Smith took the title in 4hr.33min.17sec to the Crawley veteran's 4hr.41min.44sec.
In the women's 5km race, Hales, 16 last month, made an impressive debut in senior event after winning a host of junior crowns.
She walked a sensible race, refusing to push herself too hard and catch the judges disapproval over the rough surface.
She was third behind international Sharon Tonks (Bromsgrove) and former runner Estle Viljoen (Hereford) in 25min. 46sec. Club-mate Jo Heskethte, was fourth (26min.07sec).
Meanwhile, Samantha Baines (Hailsham) brushed aside the injury that ruled her out of last month's Hastings Half-marathon to win the Worthing 20-mile Road Race at Goring.
She beat Judith Oakley (Exeter), who had won the Brighton Half-Marathon over a flat course in February.
Baines also won the Sussex title, which was held in conjunction, beating veteran Jane Boulton (Crowborough), the reigning champion, by more than a minute.
Hailsham clubmate Paul Eccles took the Sussex men's title although he finished eighth, 13 minutes behind race winner Mike Simpson (Hounslow).
