Coaches and foreign-registered cars will get free parking in a bid to encourage tourism in West Sussex.
Arun District Council - which covers the Arundel, Bognor and Littlehampton area - has promised the free car parking will begin in the next few weeks.
Richard McMann, council head of tourism, said: "The Arun area is popular with foreign visitors.
"This year we want them to leave their cars with our compliments and take advantage of our historic places and clean, sunny seaside resorts."
Council leader Derek Whittaker said: "We are telling visitors from home and around the world that the resorts and holiday spots of the Arun District are open for business providing a happy, healthy holiday experience for all the family.
"We will also be offering free coach parking and organising extra special visitor attractions to enhance our already full programme for the summer season.
"It is part of a package of council initiatives, working together with other district councils, the county council and representatives from the tourism industry."
