St. Leonards exacted some measure of revenge for a 10-2 thrashing earlier in the season by beating Rothwell Town 4-1 at The Firs last night.
Dominic Barclay opened the scoring in only the first minute with an inch perfect volley from the edge of the box and Keith Miles made it 2-0 12 minutes later when he rose unchallenged to head home a corner.
Rothwell's Jason Turner scored a freak goal to halve the deficit, his shot ballooning off a defender and over goalkeeper Rob Hall.
Andy Thomson's men responded when a shot by Des Boateng fell for Barclay to tap home midway through the second half.
Although St Leonards were reduced to ten men when Danny Moody received his second yellow card, Barclay completed his hat-trick when Simon Fox teed him up.
