The fiasco of the George Street works beginning at the wrong end has had many people laughing aloud as they read about it in the recent spate of letters.
Somebody should have filmed it all for the museum. A good scene would be the way that, on a recent rainy Saturday, people had to walk around the big puddle at the south end which is a result of the way the new surface has been joined to Church Road.
I expect Brighton and Hove City Council will settle for the cheap option of plonking a palm tree next to it and calling it a "tropical feature".
Everybody is eager to see the head-scratching when the work reaches the north end.
