It is fantastic news the multinational pharmaceutical companies have dropped their lawsuit against the South African government for allowing the import of cheap Aids drugs.
Protests in South Africa and around the world exposed the obscenity of the drug companies' priorities.
Many of those who protested on this issue in Britain will be taking up the case again on May Day.
It is appalling the Press and politicians have been taken in by the Metropolitan Police's hysteria about May Day and are not focusing on the very important issues being raised.
Thanks to protest, those in southern Africa who are HIV-positive can now look to a more hopeful future.
