Ian Duncan, with reference to the proposed redevelopment of the King Alfred, said: "I want to stress from the start, this is not about offering people a wish-list or just accepting the views of those who shout loudest" (Argus, April 25).
Surely this view was not stressed to Simon Fanshawe, who widely broadcast the Place To Be wish-list in an assertive bid to become Brighton and Hove city.
KSS put out a wish-list and an appeal for a new Olympic ice rink. A developer/operator of the ice world responded to the call. This project is worth multi-millions to the city.
Please, Councillor Duncan, don't kill the messenger and don't knock the campaigners of our city, especially those stalwarts whose actions speak louder than words. Please get your skates on and get it done.
