Do any other readers consider this Census a complete waste of time and money?
We all have many records to provide information to the data-collectors - medical records, employment records, Inland Revenue records, etc. If we drive, we have licences.
If we have cars, they are registered.
The Census will not provide one extra hospital bed, one extra school place, one new old folks' home or bobby on the beat (although the money spent on it might have).
These things are governed by available finance, not by need.
