Gannets usually winter in Africa and spend the summer in Scotland.
But one of them has strayed into the unlikely setting of Kemp Town.
Seagulls, which tend to rule the roost in this part of Brighton, do not like the newcomer and have made it clear. But the gannet is determined to stay put.
It looks like being a noisy summer for the people of Eastern Road who may be fervently wishing both types of bird would get out of screech.
