Although I agree to some extent with the criticism regarding BBC Southern Counties Radio early-morning Brighton programme, one must remember Brighton has changed a great deal and it is now so cosmopolitan it is difficult to please everyone.
To listen to the real BBC style of pronunciation of the English language and at the right speed, one has to tune to 94.5 VHF for BBC Radio 4.
What is annoying about "Breakfast Live In Brighton" is the presenter being so full of self-praise.
How the figure is assessed of increased numbers of listeners baffles me. How do they know the number of radio sets in the Brighton area and how many are tuned to 95.3 VHF or 1485 medium wave from 6am to 9am?
Judging from the vast number of people that turned up along the Sussex coast on April 1 to witness the sailing of the "Titanic that never was", commercial local radio must have a very high number of listeners.
