Why was Sita given the contract to collect recycled waste when there is a perfectly efficient company already doing it?
Sita has not managed to collect my household rubbish for more than four weeks.
I have lived in the same house for 30 years and, until Sita took over the refuse collection, I never had any cause for concern.
My dustbin was always emptied from outside my back door each week.
However, I am now required to put my rubbish outside my back gate. This I reluctantly agreed to, hoping the service would improve and rubbish would be taken on a weekly basis.
It worked for a short period but now I am phoning to complain daily. Recently, I was told I should take my rubbish along the back alley to the street if I want it taken away.
By the next collection, five weeks of extremely obnoxious rubbish will need moving into the street.
I will be 70 next year. If I agree to this proposal, what is in store for me at 80? Will I be expected to drag my rubbish to the tip myself? Finally, is this environmentally friendly?
