Sita needs a dose of good old-fashioned work study.
Recently, a group of two or three men collected the black bags from our refuse stores, leaving piles of black bags at regular intervals around the square.
Three hours later, in Cannon Place, Brighton, traffic was held up because a large pile of black bags had spilled on to the road.
On reaching Russell Square, we noticed three piles of rubbish had been left in resident parking bays and one on the connecting road into Clarence Square.
There were further piles around this square. In all, some six bays were out of use, owing to piles of refuse bags. Little wonder these men have difficulty collecting all the refuse each week.
It must be very difficult trying to drive through the cars looking for parking spaces when the congestion is of their own making.
If the truck came round with one group of men, the bags could be put straight on to it, as in days of yore.
In addition, the long-suffering council tax payers and permit holders would actually be able to park their cars in the bays they pay for.
It is time the town centre manager earned his keep by ensuring this situation does not continue.
