Welcome to the real world, Brighton and Hove City Council employees.
You are about to suffer the same as rate payers by having to pay for your parking. Why should you be allowed free parking on our streets at the same time as being subsidised by us?
It will not help council employees to scream for support when, only a few months ago, the nurses at the Sussex County Hospital had to start paying for their parking. I did not see any support for the nurses from our local government staff then.
Surely our local government staff can do as we do every day - leave home that bit earlier, find a fee-paying parking space like we all have to and then use that free bus which runs around our civic buildings for the council staff.
