I am disgusted with the delay in reopening the Patcham High School swimming pool changing facilities.
God knows, we waited long enough for the work to start. We had to put up with the appalling state of the present ones for many years.
Originally, the finishing date for the work was April, then May 9, now June 25 - possibly. We waited for seven months and now it's going to be a total of nine months. The work was only supposed to take 18 weeks.
My son Daniel is an excellent swimmer, thanks to Wendy and Brian Barrett, and is so keen to start his lessons. His younger brother, Dean, also wants to know when he can swim again.
The lack of site supervision during the initial couple of months is the reason for the long delay. Patcham parents and children are suffering and others, too. Our children are starting to forget some of the many skills they have learnt because of this long delay.
