Stuart Tuck has received double confirm-ation that he was right to go into non-League football.
The former Albion defender thought long and hard before signing for Worthing midway through last season.
But his massive experience and commitment at the back were rewarded when team mates and supporters voted him their player of the year.
Boss Sammy Donnelly was delighted to see the 26-year-old walk off with both prizes.
He said: "Tucky thoroughly deserves it. He had to find his feet at this level when he joined us midway through a season.
"I know he will be the first to admit it is ultra-competitive at this level.
"But he started pre-season with us last summer and he has come on bundles. He has shown the sort of consistency you need if you are going to do well and he has been outstanding at times."
