Spanish theatre company Pez En Raya are an incongruous and extremely likeable double act who love to play the fool.

Visually, the company were a comic success - a tiny woman (Cristina Medina), a tall, gangly man (Juan Estrader), two fake noses and a cardboard set.

Speaking through thick Spanish accents, the pair instantly established a warm rapport with the audience, which seemed as entertained by the spectacle as it was with the show's content.

Wigs came and went, moustaches were swapped, punches flew, there was death by flamenco and a daring prison escape.

It became apparent early that Cover Yourself was more of an exploration of the absurd than an actual play. The plot was vague and only functioned as a vehicle for the company's comic ideas which were hit and miss.

Medina was the undisputed star of the show. She kept the comedy alive with her hyperactive facial expressions, eccentric characterisations and clownish acrobatics.

There were moments of sheer brilliance in Cover Yourself but too many flat moments to make the show an overwhelming success.
