A new business networking group is launching in Sussex this week.
Designed with small and medium-size business in mind, You Accessing People (YAP) is the brainchild of Hove accountant Jan Young, who is the managing director of the organisation.
She said: "YAP is an exciting concept, providing a comprehensive business programme for small to medium-sized businesses.
"It brings together the very best aspects of sales, marketing and business communication at a local and regional level.
"It can be you accessing people, you accessing profit or you accessing potential. It is all about business opportunities."
The organisation plans to offer members opportunities including:
The development of a list of business contacts, all of who have the capability to support each other's growth
The opportunity to take part in free professional business training, geared to the needs of participating businesses. Training will be provided by Aim-Hi Human Resources a Sussex-based training organisation, headed by Hove businessman David Green
The provision of joint marketing strategies to promote members to a wider market
The opportunity to take part in a range of business to business meetings, including quarterly business lunches.
The lunches will include keynote speakers from all areas of commerce and industry.
Mr Green said: "YAP provides a package that is specifically geared towards the needs small to medium-sized businesses. It is more than just a membership organisation designed to generate co-operative contacts because it provides real and added value for membership and a flexible approach towards the real needs of their businesses.
"The benefit of professional business training alone provides an opportunity for small businesses to participate in their own growth and development.
"Add to this the collaborative and co-operative aspects of YAP and it becomes a unique concept in Sussex."
Launch day is Friday, at the Sackville Hotel, Hove. A breakfast meeting, 7.45 to 9.30am, and a lunch meeting, 11.30am to 1pm, are planned.
Details are available on 01903 871030.
