Michael Fisher (Opinion, May 12) is obviously a bit sensitive about David Gold's chances at the General Election. Hardly had the ink dried on the Conservative manifesto than he was out of the box, as usual, to condemn the local candidate.
Could it be Labour is worried about an openly gay candidate fronting the Conservatives in Brighton? Could it be because first-time gay voters such as me will support David Gold because he says what he means and does what he says?
Or can Mr Fisher simply not resist having a bitch first thing in the morning? Whichever it is, Mr Fisher, get a grip on yourself and deliver some more Labour leaflets. It looks like you've got a fight on your hands. And remember, Labour promised to repeal Section 28. I'm still waiting.
How much influence has David Lepper got if he still hasn't fulfilled his own pledge?
