People have been gathering to listen to music and celebrate the beauty of the planet since time immemorial.
Tribal people still do it all over the world and don't need big advertising campaigns or sales of famous cola drinks to make them a valid and respectable way to live.
When are people like Rowan Dore going to wake up? By the end of today, an area the size of Switzerland will have been deforested, many species will have been made extinct and many people will have been displaced.
While all this goes on, the citizens of our country enjoy the benefits the rest of the world has to pay for as Britain secures yet another contract to sell guns.
How dare Mr Dore insinuate the people attending the Woodingdean party were damaging wildlife? Which noise can you hear more loudly if you listen carefully? Music and celebration or war-mongering, deforestation and cultural destruction? Whose planet are you living on?
