In a letter to Liz Walker, Councillor Jackie Lythell says we have been duped by the developers of the Aquarium Terraces. How so?
We now know neither the lease nor planning permission contain information about the kind of restaurants to be installed, although verbal assurances are said to have been given.
Is that how we were duped? How can clever councillors and highly-paid professional council staff find themselves in this position? Is this the way Brighton and Hove City Council is run? If so, we need to know a lot more.
I am sure corruption is not involved, so it can only be incompetence. But all possibilities must be examined. To make an election meaningful, we need to know the full facts on which to base our vote.
