Champions Chiddingly made it two wins out of two with a three wicket triumph at home to DPB in division one of the East Sussex League on Saturday.
Skipper Tom Carr (3-52) and Tim Hinchcliffe (3-56) combined to restrict DPB to 183-7 in their 55 overs, Greg Osborne scoring 59 and Richard Horne 43.
Jamie Sykes (3-59) claimed three of the seven wickets to fall in reply but contributions from John Grieveson (48), Hugo Youngman (35) and Darren Howard (30) saw Chiddingly to victory.
Howard said: "It is good to beat them. They have lost a couple of players but they are still a strong side."
Ringmer claimed their second success in as many games when they won at Fletching. Richard Jones scored 39 for Ringmer but they were dismissed for a disappointing 137 with Glenn Potter claiming 5-53 and Ali Horscroft 3-6.
Fletching appeared to be cruising at 60-3 in reply but they then lost six wickets for 11 runs and were eventually bowled out for 113. Bowling honours went to Murray Barnett (4-10), Graham Pitts (3-21) and Gary Holder (3-39).
Wadhurst were convincing eight wicket winners over Herstmonceux after David Brignell (91 not out) and Alan Notley (25 not out) led them to a winning total of 148-2. Earlier, Herstmonceux had been restricted to 147-9 with the significant contribution being 24 not out from No. 11 Alan Smith. Mick Watson scored 32 while Neil Tunbridge was the pick of the bowling with 3-34.
West Indian all-rounder Victor Walcott claimed 5-51 on his first appearance of the season but was unable to force victory for Crowhurst Park against Ditchling. Park amassed 257-8 with Mike Pannett scoring 96 and Paul Lindfield 42, while Johnny Coburn and Matthew Searle claimed three wickets apiece. Ditchling were struggling in reply despite 44 from captain Patrick Nolan but they held on for a draw at 192-9 with No. 9 Ollie Wills batting out the last 18 overs to finish on 33 not out.
Newick won by seven wickets at Rye. The hosts were skittled out for 69 with Michael Radford taking 5-27 and Rupert Thacker 3-24. The total posed few problems as Stuart Maddock (24 not out) and Edward Young (23 not out) led Newick to victory.
Opener Karl Wootten scored a sparkling 154 not out as Seaford rattled up 228-4 in the clash of the relegated sides in division two. In reply, St Peters batted out a draw, closing on 164-3 with contributions from Tim Moss (40), Malcolm Eldridge (35) and Simon Coomber (33 not out) with Wootten claiming the three wickets to fall.
A fascinating game at Rottingdean saw Heathfield Park win by three runs. The visitors made an excellent start with Ian Cox (54) and Steve Oakes (50) putting on 81 for the first wicket, but they then fell away to 144 all out with Matt Ades (5-22 from 10.2 overs) and Mark Smith (3-49) doing the damage.
Rottingdean made hard work of the reply but looked to have victory in sight before losing their final two wickets with only four runs needed off the final two overs. George Austin hit 36 but it was in vain as they were bowled out for 141, with Chris Tyler bowling unchanged to pick up 5-56.
Phil Adams (66) and Mark Jordan (61) led Lewes St Michael's to a seven wicket success at home to Buxted Park. Earlier, Buxted had been dismissed for 173 with Nick Perry (38) top-scoring as Dave Wilcock (5-60) ripped in.
Rob Quiney (48), Mark Usher (35 not out) and Dave Morgan (29 not out) were among the runs as Battle won by five wickets at Iden.
Earlier, David White had hit 57 but the hosts were dismissed for 141 with Brian Schollay picking up 4-71.
Tim Stirmey (44) and Danny Shepperson (41) helped Glynde post a total of 182 all out in the face of good bowling from Joe Wheatley (6-29). Barcombe's run chase ultimately fell short at 171-8, Dale Tranter taking 4-42.
Division three: Little Common 70 Hellingly 211-3 (Jim Wise 74no, Paul Wheatley 51): Maresfield 131-6 (John Lewis 67no, Nick Whiteman 4-29) drew with Beaulieu 195-9 (David Collins 101no); Pevensey 224-4 (John Smith 95, James Wallis 60) beat Rotherfield 78 (Rob Adams 4wkts); Tunbridge Wells Borderers 153-9 (Nick Edwards 56, Steve Cane 5-58, John Osborn 4-34) beat Pett 113 (Dean Serra 4-42); Uckfield Anderida 162-4 (Richard Coates 52, Steve Veal 51) beat Polegate & Stone Cross 158-9 (Steve Hover 54).
Division four: Battle II 158-7 drew with Willingdon 279-4; Dicker Butterfly 109 Wadhurst II 88 (James Mitchell 39no, Simon Owen 4-27); Glynde II 202-5 (Phil Harper 43, Steve Pilbeam 42, Graham Baker 41no) drew with Newhaven 200-9 (Rohan Pooley 88, Richard Barber 4-40); Ringmer II 170 beat Robertsbridge 128.
JERRY White was the star with the bat in division one of the West Sussex League, blasting an unbeaten 134 to help Worthing Chippingdale to a 114-run win over St Matthias.
Ollie Hall supported him with an undefeated 32 as Chippingdale made 233-5 before restricting Saints to 119-9.
Three players made half-centuries for Lancing Manor in their impressive 288-4 against Hove Medina. Dan Griffin's 51 was his second successive league 50 while Neil Reynolds made 71 and Steve Haggis 62. D. Baker then took 4-43 as Medina were bowled out for 126.
Best all-round performance came from Chichester Priory III's M. Moore who made 59 and then took six wickets in the 28-run success over Horsham III.
Brian Huffer hit 64, his second half-century of the season, as Patcham overcame Dome Mission's 182-7 with seven wickets in hand while K. Proto's 5-19 helped West Blatchington to an 80-run win over Findon III who were dismissed for just 80.
An undefeated 55 from Russ Ferrier was not enough for Palmers whose 160-8 was overhauled with three wickets to spare by Shoreham. The hosts were steered to victory by eighth wicket pair I. McRae (22 not out) and J. Simpson (17 not out).
The other match between Three Bridges III and Crawley Eagles was cancelled because the pitch was unfit.
