On Saturday, my son swam in the Brighton and Hove Schools Gala for Patcham Junior School.

The team did so well considering they had nowhere to practise their times, strokes and much more, and even won some medals.

But if they had been able to practise as all the other schools did, they may have had a bigger advantage.

Someone has to be to blame for the long delays in finishing the school pool.

If the work was on a large building, I would give some grace - but have you seen the small building at the back?

How it has taken so long, I do not know.
