In answer to Argus readers who are unable to understand the excitement of Brighton and Hove supporters when the Albion were promoted as Division Three champions, I say this: Over the years, we have seen our club gradually being destroyed by having its football ground sold, having to make long journeys to Gillingham, very nearly going out of the league and a manager walking out on us.
Then Micky Adams came to the club and brought in players who can blend in to create one of the best Albion teams in a very long time.
We have had our lows this season, we know, but we have had more highs - in the last four months, the build-up to the promotion race and then, unbeatable, the championship.
The hope we had previously has become a reality. If you have never had that "high on life" feeling we supporters felt at the Chesterfield game, I know who I would rather be.
