Gardener George Harris made an important find when undertaking renovation work in the walled garden at Preston Manor in Brighton.
He unearthed a wine bottle more than 250 years old.
But analysis of the contents revealed that they may be ancient urine rather than vintage wine.
The bottle will be put on display, minus its smelly residue.
Wine experts hoping for a beautiful bouquet must be a wee bit disappointed.
