Lance Cronin has won the Youth In Action Sports Personality of the Month award for April.
The 15-year-old goalkeeper earned our trophy after securing a place in the England under-15s squad.
The Portslade Community college pupil said: "I'm very pleased. It's been quite a time for me. I was so excited when I learned my country wanted me and The Argus award just completes a wonderful month.
"I'll put it in my trophy cabinet. It's fantastic to get the recognition."
The former Albion centre of excellence player, who kept a clean sheet on his England debut, wants to wear the national jersey again during the summer.
Cronin, who is with with Crystal Palace, said: "I've been told England will be involved in a tournament in July and there is a game against Norway the following month. I'd love to be involved."
Captain David Soutar scored two goals to help Brighton, Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College defeat Imberhorne (East Grinstead) 3-0 in the Sussex Schools Under-19s Cup final at Lancing.
It completes a hat-trick for BHASVIC, who also won the Second Xl Cup and Sussex Sixes. It was their eighth county success in two years.
Tom Djamaluddin also netted and Nick Hurley was man-of-the-match.
Manager Alan Sanders said: "We've had a good year and the latest win makes up for losing in the quarter-finals of the national trophy."
Blatchington Mill (Hove) beat Chichester High in the under-16s final after extra time at Lancing.
Dorothy Stringer (Brighton) battled back from 2-0 to defeat Hazelwick (Crawley) 4-2 in the under-14s final with Ryan McMillan scoring a hat-trick.
AFC Jelfish (Brighton) won the under-tens title at the Isle of Wight Festival for the Ryan Giggs Manchester United and Wales Trophy.
