Any organisation that uses forms will appreciate the versatility of Scansoft Omniform 4.0.
This clever application makes it possible to scan a paper form and turn it into a editable software form in seconds without any fiddly reconfiguration.
The software installed reasonably easily and took just a few minutes to get running properly.
I slipped an invoice form into my scanner and clicked the button and within seconds I had a fully editable form on my computer screen. The scanned form was absolutely correct in every detail and the software allowed me to change the information on it to suit my own needs.
The software also lets a user to create their own forms from scratch, allowing the development of a user's own style and the importation of graphics, logos and other detail. The finished forms can then be printed or used on the internet as forms for web pages.
The forms are held in ScanSoft's own form hosting database and can be called up whenever they are required.
Each form, whether scanned or created from scratch, is given its own space and unique reference.
The forms can be stored as Adobe PDF files which can be filled-in using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
The Scansoft Omniform 4.0 Premium package contains all the software you need to create, scan, edit and distribute forms.
Users can publish up to 50 forms with 10,000 records each for one year and includes a further ten OmniForm Filler licences for future work.
A very useful product and although not a cheap option, it could save an organisation a great deal of money.
