There was no need to kill the gull that attacked Grace Amos at her house in Seaford.
All that was required was for her to carry a small umbrella when going to and from her house.
After a few weeks, the problem would have gone away and a building contractor could have put up some wire mesh to prevent a recurrence.
The response of the RSPB, that the bird "ought to be shot", is typical.
This is an organisation that has no interest in the protection of birds and should not be allowed to have such a name.
