Two Sussex men have admitted attempting to handle stolen jewellery.
Jeweller James Chalcraft, 41, of Blackwater Road, Eastbourne, and Neil Campbell, 40, of First Avenue, Hove, both pleaded guilty to offences at Hove Crown Court yesterday.
Chalcraft admitted three counts dating back to June and July last year in which he attempted to handle a total of eight rings, four chains, four bracelets, two pendants, three pairs of earrings and two necklaces.
Campbell admitted attempting to handle three bracelets, four necklaces, seven rings, a pair of ear-rings and a cross during the same period.
They both pleaded guilty to a further count of attempting to handle four candlesticks.
The case was adjourned for pre-sentence reports and the pair will be sentenced on August 21. Both men are on bail.
