A man has been charged with attempted murder after a 28-year-old was stabbed in the neck.
Police found the victim in a pool of blood in Kingsway, Hove, on Saturday night.
The victim suffered serious injuries from a large knife.
Police praised a member of the public who gave him first aid and said he might otherwise have died.
