Last respects were being paid today to the widow of legendary James Bond actor Desmond Llewelyn.
A funeral service for Pamela Llewelyn was being held this afternoon at St Mary the Virgin Church in Battle, where she and her late husband worshipped for about 60 years.
Roedean-educated Mrs Llewelyn, 88, lost a fight of more than five years against Alzheimer's disease at Green Bank Rest Home in Bexhill.
She died 19 months after Mr Llewelyn, who found fame as gadget-master Q in 17 Bond movies.
He was killed in December 1999 in a head-on crash on the A27, near Firle, as he travelled to a book signing session at Drusillas Zoo Park in Alfriston.
The couple met at the art deco De La Warr Pavilion when it had just opened on Bexhill seafront.
They married in 1938 and lived at Linkwell in High Street, Old Town, Bexhill.
Mrs Llewelyn's daughter-in-law Georgia Llewelyn said: "We are very sad that she has died but death is a release from the difficulties of Alzheimer's."
