The winner of 'reality radio' game Mini Me is to marry his long-term partner this month after proposing to her while captive in the bus on Brighton seafront.

Trevor Day, 37, and Lynn Ticehurst,33, from Lewes Road, Brighton, have been together 11 years and have four daughters.

When Trevor spent six days in a minibus on Brighton seafront to win a new Mini, he realised how much he missed Lynn.

He proposed to Lynn over the barrier of the Mini Me enclosure on his fifth day of captivity. They will be married at Brighton register office on September 8.

Lorry driver Trevor, who wore wearing shorts and Hawaiian shirts during his six days in the game, has decided on an unusual dress code for the wedding.

All guests have been asked to wear 'bad' shirts and shorts. Lynn said: "Anyone coming smartly dressed will not be coming in. It's the crazier the better. Trevor will be wearing one of his loudest shirts and if anyone comes in a worse one they'll have to swap with him."

She added: "Being away from each other for the week made us both realise what we really wanted, and that is to get married.

"If it hadn't been for Mini Me we wouldn't have realised how much we could miss each other."

Trevor, Lynn and their daughters Zabrina, ten, Soshana, eight, and twins Tatiarna and Yohlanda, will arrive at the register office in a limousine.

They will spend the honeymoon at Disneyland Paris.
