A lottery millionaire and horse racing fan will give away a holiday to Florida at Brighton racecourse.

Doug Wood found he had a lucky betting streak when he won £2.6 million on the National Lottery in 1995.

He is a regular at Brighton racecourse and tomorrow will be giving four people the chance to stay in his luxury villa in Florida, complete with air fares.

To win the holiday, racegoers need to buy a racecard and enter a draw. The seven-race card starts at 2pm and gates open at noon.

Doug, 64, lives in Essex and before winning his millions had to travel to Brighton racecourse by coach.

He said: "I'm known as a philanthropist. There's no way I could spend £2.6 million so I take away at least a dozen friends each year and give money away to charities.

"I love Brighton and like to do something for them every year."
