Resurfacing on part of the A23 in Brighton starts on Monday and is expected to take up to three weeks.
The work will take place at Marlborough Place, Gloucester Place and St George's Place.
Bus lanes in Gloucester Place will be closed temporarily and there will be lane restrictions in Marlborough Place.
Contractors for Brighton and Hove Council will carry out work on major junctions at night with temporary road closures.
This will be done where North Road meets Gloucester Place between September 19 and 21 and at the junction of St George's Place with Gloucester Place between September 24 and 26 from 7pm to 6am.
