Some measured action should be taken against Brighton and Hove City Council for making this place a motoring nightmare.

Following a residents' meeting that showed overwhelming support for the removal of parking schemes in many residential areas, we have no choice but to pursue this matter to our satisfaction.

I live near the hospital and we simply do not need a parking scheme.

Zone H does not mean hospital parking only, as many visitors think it does. That simple error costs them £60. A permit in Brighton costs about £80 for a year. What reasoning is behind that?

Besides the permits being free for residents in zone H, the tickets which appear on my car are for no more than a two-second inconvenience.

I do not recognise this council as one which is in control of parking, rubbish collection or street lighting.

That wardens may get new powers of arrest similar to those of police officers is a disgrace and proves Sussex Police aren't doing their job.
