I would like to say a big thank you to the customers of Sam's Newsagents, Park Road, Coldean.

My mother was attacked and robbed in her own flat last Tuesday, which has left her feeling very vulnerable and wary of people.

Your kind messages and help have made her realise there are a lot of good people out there.

I would also like to say a special thank you to the police for the caring and sympathetic manner in which they dealt with the incident.

I hope, in time, she will be back on her feet and will thank everyone personally.
