A cyclist was fighting for her life today after she was involved in a collision with a lorry.

It happened at the junction of Upper Hollingdean Road and Davey Drive, Brighton, at 9pm yesterday.

The 35-year-old victim was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, where her condition is described as stable but critical.

Police said the flatbed lorry did not stop and it is possible the driver was unaware the collision had occurred.

They were trying to trace the driver.
