MONDAY: Micky Adams reveals Albion have not received a bid for Bobby Zamora from Worthington Cup opponents Southampton.

"We haven't had an offer," says the boss. "I haven't even spoken to Stuart (Gray) or anybody at Southampton about Bobby and that's the honest truth."

The Seagulls remain above next visitors QPR on goal difference after the weekend results.

TUESDAY: Gary Hart faces a fight to regain his first team place after losing it to Lee Steele.

Adams says: "Possession is nine tenths of the law and that will always be the case at this club while I am in charge."

Adams is still baffled by Zamora's yellow card at Northampton. "Bobby has been booked twice now for alleged dives and in both cases he had opportunities to score, but I am not going to slam refs. They've got a hard enough job already."

WEDNESDAY: Adams challenges his fringe players to prove they are ready for the first team before watching a strong reserves line-up held 0-0 at home by Swindon.

Three of the summer signings, Dirk Lehmann, Geoff Pitcher and Robbie Pethick, are in the starting XI.

So too are Hart, Andy Crosby, Kerry Mayo, Matt Wicks and Steve Melton, all squad regulars last season.

THURSDAY: Pethick wants to put one over QPR'S Ian Holloway, his former boss at Bristol Rovers.

The rightback says: "We were top all season until the last 11 games when we won only one.

"I was one of those blamed. I felt hurt in that respect, because I had been setting up goals."

Holloway explains why Rovers sold Zamora to the Seagulls for £100,000. "He wasn't happy because he wanted to play first team football.

"We had a strict wage limit for the younger lads. The board didn't want to change it and he didn't want to accept it."

FRIDAY: Lehmann's lucky earrings are banned by the FA.

"The FA have sent me a later saying I have got to take them out," reveals Albion's German star.

"It's unfortunate because I am a little bit superstitious. When I take them out I don't feel so comfortable."
