Bognor boss Jack Pearce handed his central defenders a compliment of sorts after his side extended their unbeaten run to seven matches.
Rocks survived a late Wealdstone rally before winning 3-2 in midweek and Pearce said: "We deserved the points.
"After playing for two years on one foot, Kevin Murphy has got himself fit and is now playing superbly for an hour and Jay Pickering doesn't look like a roly poly any more."
Bognor recall Miles Rutherford in place of Richard Hudson for tomorrow's trip to Bashley.
Hudson was feared to have suffered a broken leg at Wealdstone but the injury has now been diagnosed as a badly bruised shin which will rule him out for about a fortnight.
Meanwhile Worthing have loaned Lee Weston to Wick and told their players to take a pay cut.
Manager Sammy Donnelly is under orders to cut costs following the recent FA Cup exit but insists Weston's departure is to help him regain match fitness.
The Rebels boss added: "No-one is happy but we are trying to keep the team together and I respect the players for the encouragement they have given me."
Marc Rice starts a three match ban as Dulwich visit for a re-arranged Ryman League clash tomorrow. Simon James returns from suspension but Damian Webber is again left out.
