Organisers of the Moulsecoomb Festival are already planning next year's event after a spectacular debut this weekend.
More than 1,000 people turned up for the estate's first festival at Moulsecoomb Leisure Centre yesterday.
A parade led by drummers around Moulsecoomb culminated with a fun day at the centre featuring everything from clowns to birds of prey.
There were workshops teaching people useful skills such as kite making and there were plenty of stalls and activities to keep everyone amused.
Dave Barnard, one of the organisers, said: "It went very well. Everyone went away feeling they had been involved in a spectacular community event and we are all pleased that the community responded.
"This was the first Moulsecoomb Festival we have held and we are now going to start looking at arranging next year's.
"Because of its success, everybody feels that we should have it on a regular yearly basis and encourage even more people to get involved in it."
