Mystery of the Druids is an adventure game based on ancient Druidic legends.
According to the game, Roman invaders debased the all powerful Druids until they were little more than village shamans.
They retreated to a secret hideout and planned a cruel and dark ritual to transfer their accumulated knowledge and power to five tiny babies who would, in turn, pass that power on through successive generations.
The children and their descendants did not use their powers wisely.
Now, 1,000 years after the ritual, they have become a serious problem for mankind.
The player takes the role of Brent Halligan, a young Scotland Yard detective, assigned a murder case which transpires to have been a ritual killing.
Halligan and a digitallydelicious anthropologist named Dr Melanie Turner uncover clues linking a Druidic order to the crime.
To succeed in their mission, Halligan and Turner must travel back in time to stop the initial ritual.
Mystery of the Druids is a "must have" for any true adventure fan.
The story is fiction but, according to the developers, everything is based on historical facts.
