Ex-sailor Bob Larking has a reminder of his seafaring days in the garden of his home at Peacehaven.
He has trained a hedge to grow in the shape of the minesweeper HMS Mariner, on which he served in the Fifties.
Bob is selling his house and was worried the new owners might destroy his work but luckily they have said they will leaf it alone.
