Ringmer are turning up the heat in the race for County League honours.
The Blues have made an impressive start to the season and have been looking particularly good in recent games.
But manager Glen Geard was busy this week trying to strengthen his squad.
First to arrive is the manager's son, Matt, who has signed for Ringmer after quitting Albion.
Geard junior signed for the Seagulls as a trainee in the summer but has left just two months into his three-year scholarship.
Glen said: "He wasn't enjoying his football and has left. He is coming to play for me until the end of the season.
"He won't be playing County League (in the long term) but he wasn't enjoying it there and I didn't want anyone to get hold of him and ruin him."
Matt Geard played for Ringmer's first team last season prior to signing for Albion and scored one goal.
Ringmer have also made approaches for Southwick striker Tony Holden and Wick's Stuart Garrod.
Boss Geard said: "If we can sign the pair of them they would be major signings for us."
As for the title race, Geard added: "I think it is wide open this year. Three Bridges have caught my eye.
"Shaun Grice and Sean Randell are playing out of their skin at the moment. Not only are they scoring goals but they are doing a lot more for the side as well. We are defending from the front and they are doing their bit when we haven't got the ball.
"But we are creating so many chances at the moment, being a forward in our side would be lovely."
Current leaders are Burgess Hill but manager Gary Croydon acknowledges the title race will be another tough contest this year.
After his side's goalless draw with reigning champions Sidley in midweek, Croydon said: "It was a real quality game of football. They are good league champions.
"One or two people may have thought "Little Sidley" last season but they are a good side and will be up there again this year. I was quite pleased with a 0-0 draw."
Burgess Hill will be without leading scorer Steve Harper and midfielder Tim Brown for the next two games. Both are on holiday.
Arundel have signed Nick West, who started the season with Worthing. West, who has been at Arundel previously, is currently on holiday but is expected to feature soon.
