A factory worker has appeared in court charged with the murder of Brighton landlord Mohammed Sabir Raja.
Robert Knapp, 53, of no fixed address, appeared before Bromley magistrates on Saturday.
He is accused of the murder of Mr Raja on July 2, 1999. He also faces a charge of conspiracy to murder Mr Raja with millionaire property tycoon Nicholas Hoogstraten and another man, David Croke.
Croke, 58, of Bonley Road, Moulsecoomb, Brighton, was due to appear at the Old Bailey this afternoon facing a murder charge.
Hoogstraten, 56, of Framfield, near Uckfield, has been charged with murder and conspiracy to murder in connection with Mr Raja's death. He is due to appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow.
Father-of-six Mr Raja, 62, was found dead outside his Surrey home by his two teenage grandsons. He had gunshot and knife wounds.
